益子で作陶されている田代倫章さんによる粉引のお皿です。
以前取り扱いのあった大きなディナー皿より一回り小さいサイズです。約1.5cm幅のリムがあり、全体で直径約22.5cmの大きめのプレートになります。（同じ形で黒もあります）
平らな形ですが、リムが絶妙な角度で立ち上がっているためソースなども外へ流れにくくなっています。使い勝手が計算された、とても美しいお皿です。
粉引のやわらかな白は、どんなお料理にも合います。優しい印象です。粉引は釉薬のかかり方や焼成によって自然の柄が出たり、貫入など変化があり、うつわを育てる楽しみもあります。表面は光沢があり、裏面は素焼きのざらざら感があります。洋食、和食、様々なお料理に合うと思います。

*Kohiki rim plate by Toshifumi Tashiro. If you are looking for a Japanese simple pottery plate, it is a just perfect one!
It has approx.1.5mm rim and it rising towards the edge.
The color is very soft white and there are sand, pinholing, pitting, crazing or cracking on the surface. It has glossiness on the top and rough texture on the back.
Great for various cooking not only western but also Japanese.
*Kohiki:Pottery covered completely with white clay which has a powdered appearance.
