益子で作陶されている寺村光輔による人気の瑠璃釉のオーバルプレートです。
寺村さんの作品は現土に近い、あまり精製されていない土を多く使うことで、鉄点など、本来その材料が持っている風合いを残すよう作られています。深さはありませんが、リムがあるのでソースのあるお料理や、パスタ、ワンプレーとの朝ご飯にもぴったり。独特の光沢感を持つ瑠璃の色合いが食材の色を引き立たせてくれます。釉の濃淡や鉄点、小穴や泥ヒビなども見え、表情が豊かなのも魅力です。

"Lapis lazuli glazed oval platel" by Kousuke Teramura
He purposely purified the clay roughly and remained their texture that originally had. So there are sand, pinholing, pitting, crazing or cracking on the surface but it's not defective. It has glossy surface and beautiful blue color goes well with any kind of cooking. Using gypsum mold but shape the edge by hand. Great plate for pancake, morning set, cookies,etc.
