益子で作陶されている田代倫章さんによる鈍い黒光沢が特徴的な黒い段付中鉢です。

鉄分が含まれる赤土を生地にし、素焼きせずに生掛けし、還元焼成することで独特の黒光沢を出しています。
高台から立ち上がるフォルムが美しいこの器は、高さもあり存在感があります。

Manganese Glazed Medium Bowl by Toshifumi Tashiro.
The black luster is produced by using red clay, which contains iron, as the base material, and firing it by reduction firing without unglazing.
The beautiful form of this bowl, which rises from the base, is tall and has a strong presence.
