日本在住のイギリス人木工作家イアン・ヘイデンさんによる、桜（ソメイヨシノ）のお皿です。
ヘイデンさんの作品は実用的なうつわでありながら、木がそのまま人間の使う物として生まれ変わったような自然に近いものを感じます。作り込みすぎず、それぞれの形や木目を生かした、美しいうつわです。
直径約26cmのシンプルなお皿で、ウッドターニング(木工旋盤)を使用し制作しています。外側はゆるやかなカーブと少しの高台があり、盛りつける内側は平らに近い形です。
チーズやパン、前菜の盛り合わせ、おにぎり、あるいは写真のような焼き栗を盛っても食材の色が映えてナチュラルな雰囲気が演出できます。
オイルフィニッシュ(ワックスブレンド）　
100%天然成分から作られたオスモカラー使用（ドイツ製）　

メンテナンスは表面が乾いてきたなと思ったら、えごま油やオリーブオイル等植物油を柔らかい布などで、全体にうすく塗りこみ自然乾燥させるだけでOKです。
使い始めは、全体にオイルを塗りこんで余分な油を拭き取ってから食材を盛ることを数回続けていただくと、油を木地に浸透させることができ、シミが出来にくくなります。お使いいただくうちに変化していく、自然の木の肌触りや色艶を十分にお楽しみください。

※使用後はスポンジで洗い、カビなどを防ぐためにしっかり自然乾燥させてから、直射日光が当たらない場所へおしまいください。
※長時間水に漬けないてください。

"Sakura-Somei Yoshino (Cherry Wood) Plate " by IAN HAYDEN.
He is from England and living in Japan (Tokyo and Nikko) and he craft woods using woodturning.
Approximately 26cm in diameter medium wooden plate,very simple and it has beauty of nature.
The outside has a slightly curve and inside is almost plaine.
Great size for assorted appetizers, salada, onigiri, etc.
Please enjoy the process of secular change.
Oil & wax blend wood finish with OSMO COLOUR, made from 100% natural ingredients (made in Germany).

Hand wash with normal kitchen soap with soft brush, sponge or dishcloth. Do not leave to soak, dry properly after wash, avoid direct sunlight, not suitable for dishwashers or microwave.
You should give them an oiling (ex.olive oil) to help maintain their surface and keep them from drying out.
